Do Schools Kill Creativity?

Just watched this excellent Ted Talk by Sir Ken Robinson on how the education system is killing creativity. Please watch it if, like me, you hate the fact that design and creativity and originality are not as highly prized as maths and science. When I think of how many amazingly talented people are being locked out of tertiary design courses because of a failure to perform brilliantly ‘academically’ in order to get in, it lights a hate-fire in my belly. Bring back folio-based entry and maybe then we have a hope of getting brilliantly creative people in the forefront where they should be…
